The Chamber job is one of the most critical parts of building a precision rifle. When dialing the barrel in for a match grade chamber, I use Gordyrods to get the first 6 inches of the barrel running as true as possible.I then use and long stem interapid indicator and finish the alignmentprocedure dialing in on the actual bore. The natural curvature of thebore is then indexed to the 12 o’clock position. The barrel is then pre-drilled and bored too .050 short of the shoulder. This is the secretto ending up with a chamber that is perfectly strait with no run-out.The chamber is cut using a high-pressure muzzle flush system for thesmoothest surface finishes possible. My Chamber’s when finished willshow no measureable run-out from the back of the chamber to thethroat where the bullet starts it’s journey.
